Yeehaw! No more poo colored fans!

I know they are great fans, just a bad choice of color. Unless you have a beige case. :)

How's the temps with the R4's?

Idle temps are the same. Peak load temp dropped by 2C (66C, down from 68C).

How do you like that case so far? got enough room for future upgrades? and are those fans on the bottom easily removable? planning on picking up this case later this week. oh could you most some more pics if possible, please?

I absolutely love the case, and there is plenty of room to upgrade. My plan is to keep this case for many, many years (and potentially several rounds of upgrades). It's great for air-cooling, but they havne't ignored those interested in water-cooling. It comes packaged with brackets to allow you to mount a radiator to the bottom case fans, if you decide to water-cool. If so, you might find yourself hard-pressed for space inside the case for all of your gear, though.

The largest barrier to upgrades will be the distance from the PCI slot covers to the case fans. The largest graphics card I have seen installed is a 5970, but that required removal of the grille on top of the middle fan. The fans come out easily. Each one has two sets of wires -- one set goes to a fan power header/splitter, and the other goes to a switch at the top of the case (for setting speed to either high or low). I removed the stock fans and switches and replaced them with the Silverstone LED fans (bottom/intake) and a Cooler Master R4 (top/exhaust).

I still have room to fit one more fan on top of the Noctua (already did) but don't have any more fan clips to hold it on there securely.

Depth-wise, this case will fit any heatsink presently available, as far as I know. The Noctua that I have in there still has .5 to 1 cm clearance between it and the window.

Let me know what shots you want and I can take some tomorrow, or maybe I already have them. Also check out the HWC review as well as some others, if you haven't already seen them:

Kaze Server. 1amp, 12W per channel, 4 channels. Auto, semi-auto or manual control for each channel. I didn't install the temp sensors, but probably will end up doing that at some point. I wanted to put it up top, but the card reader doesn't play nice with tooless drive bays. I might shift stuff around once my cables arrive and I have reason to open up the case again.

Thanks Ninjas.

I'm extremely happy with the case; it was perfect for this build. Overall, it has been a fun build and great learning process. I should have everything completely finished by the end of this week -- just aesthetic and convenience stuff remaining. I tidied up all of the wiring this weekend, and am just waiting for some sleeved cable extenders, fan power splitters, a couple of SATA cables, and a DVD drive.

I'll post some detail photos and final specs when it's finished.
