discussion Found an old LTC Wallet

So I found an old LTC wallet on the backup hard drive of the only machine I would have been crypto mining back in 2013. I downloaded a LTC wallet, launched it, closed it, then copied my wallet.dat over. It begins to sync then gets some sort of error and crashes. I'm not at the pc right now so I can't open the debug log, however is/are there any other ways to see how much might be in that wallet.dat without an open to date wallet. I've looked in a blockviewer for LTC and it shows 0 transactions, which does not make sense as the original DB log (the one on the backup hard drive) shows it had at the very least received blocks of information.

You might have to use an older version of the client to convert it to a newer format, before using the latest client.

Teh instructions here are for Bitcoin Core/Bitcoin-QT, but process should be similar (I would try --upgradewallet comandline option, if it exists, first)

roll back the system date and use the app that made it to the time it was working

Update, turns out wallet is indeed empty. Looks like I never pulled my coin(s) out of a now defunct pool, oh well!
