FusionIO. Relatively cheap, fast, high endurance PCIe SSDs.

i was using a 4770k at 3.8GHz; i really like this SLC SSD
i just updated to firmware 3.2.8-20140508; there appears to be a newer firmware but it does not want to install (I had to use the IBM firmware for it to work; Dell's doesn't want to install but the good news is that the management server from Dell works)

Ya the firmware is specific to what OEM you are using. HP you need HP, IBM you need IBM, etc. Drivers from any of the OEMs will work no problem though. Dell is by far the easiest to track down.
 
Apologies for dead thread revival, but I'm trying to get my old 320gb SLC to work and it's being far less than kind. Anyone have a current, functional link to iodrive software or firmware? Windows 10 doesn't have a clue.

I'll give it a shot.

Wonder if these IoDrives are still worthwhile at all, compared to nvme + nvme to PCIe adapters.
