A problem with LN2 iirc. I rather like the D3HP that I installed on my moms system. Nary an issue after updating the BIOS. Nice UEFI as well.
Negative, I think you're thinking of a different issue altogether. The 'cold boot issue' refers to a problem that has plagued a variety of Gigabyte board/BIOS combinations throughout the past 2-3 years. As far as I am aware, it's now been resolved, but it was a royal pain when it was happening. (I had one such problem board.) Essentially it was an issue that would launch the MB down a path of boot cycling every 10-15 seconds, and once it started, it was a small miracle if your board ever worked correctly again. I don't know what the final verdict was for boards with this issue, but I haven't purchased a Gigabyte board since having this issue and running in to a brick wall with their horrendous customer service.
It's really too bad, since they have made some solid products, and I never had an issue prior to that one. But for my money, I'm now an MSI fan. I know ASUS gets praise for solid quality, but that's another brand that has given me terrible customer service.
