GTX 470 vs GTX 560Ti

470's can OC pretty well, but the power consumed, the heat generated, and associated fan noise are severe trade-off's. Believe me, I run two in SLI, and though the performance is great, I'm finding myself often wishing for something quieter. This is even with the case a few feet away from my workspace.

I wouldn't know why anyone would opt to trade a pair of 560ti's directly for two 470's, let alone 470's with the stock cooler (loud!!). You certainly got a heckuva deal! :thumb:

560Ti has better thermals than 400 series no doubt. My Gigabyte came factory overclocked and it consumes less power and less noisy than my Sapphire 5850.

It all depends on how well the 470's overclock. They are great cards. 470 @ 875 will beat the Ti's at 1ghz. They are louder however.

Easily the 560Ti, imho. You always want the lowest temps/power for efficiency and long-lasting use.

I don't like the design of the 470 from what I read. Nvidia tried to get the most performance out of it at the expense of heat and probably power consumption.

Then when you overclock these, you stress them more. To each their own, though. Everyone will have their own perspective on it.
