I'm curious if anyone uses hair clippers. I've gone through 6 in 7-8 years, only using them to shave my head with no guard attachment. My old non-wireless ones died, and I switched to battery-powered ones, but the latest one lost power after just 3 minutes of use. I'd rather have a wireless clipper that lasts at least 5-6 minutes.

Buy one at the pet store. I've had the same one for 15+ years
 
I have a Phillips multigroom that has been working great. Had it for probably 1.5 years so far. I can’t rember which specific model or where I bought it.
 
The place i go to has gone to cordless everything except blow dryers. The clippers are all cordless etc and going through a lot more usage than any home user ever would. So if your chewing through them maybe look at professional level ones instead of what is in your normal store.

Also I let my beard grow past "few" years so don't use my Razer as often as unused to but the one I have is self cleaning. The fine particulates of hair that get between the layers over time do clog and wear down things. Worth while considering how well your cleaning and oiling the clippers between use. Blades on the self cleaning one lasted way longer than the previous one.

yup...shave my head in full every now and then. at first I used Wahl, went through a couple razors...the peanut is awesome, despite how small it is. however, I went through two after two fumbles and bouncing off the floor. now I use a Philips 7000 series multi-groomer.

there are 'head' shavers out there with rotary blades placed for shaving your head, but most of the stuff I've read is negative, no matter who the make / model is. but...YMMV, as more peeps complain than praise and complainers are the loudest. :P
 
I have cut my own hair for 25 years and even my wife has cut her hair since we got married. A clipper used for animals will last a very long time. I have been using this set for the last 7 years. I like them cause you can get replacement blades for them and they just click in, great clippers.

since you cut your own hair...does that mean you sport a chrome dome most of the time?
