I'm saving up to get the Dell 27" monitor (I can get it from bestdirect for around $860 with taxes).

So what is the video card to use with that Monitor ?

i know you like and want it, but realistically speaking, youre going into the 'im rich,mommy/daddy buy me a pair of gtx 590's and maybe another pair later on if needed' realm :)

seriously. i have a 27 incher and its nice and all, but to power heavy games at that resolution its hard.

youre better off getting a nice led in the 24 inch size thingie, a 6950 will do ok in most situations(not metro cranked up,which brings any card to its knees and buttocks)

ncix doesnt have much of a sale going, but i finger that 250 shipped should land you something nice. 3 more inches wont shatter your worlde.

but then, on the other hand, a lot of games are playable at tha resolution....check this out :

AMD Radeon HD 6950 1GB Video Card in CrossFire - Benchmarks - High Quality AA and AF :: TweakTown USA Edition

so even a single 6950 can do wonders. but the lcd is kinda expensive for those 3 extra inches :p

So dangtx,

Your indirectly say that the Dell U2711 (Res 2560x1440) is a nice monitor. But that the Dell U2410 (1920x1200) is the monitor I should really get. Plus I would be able to get it a little quicker and then I could get the MSI N560GTX-TI Hawk to use with it.

I agree, plus you can simply add another monitor in if the 24 doesnt give you the real estate you need out side of games.
While a nice 27 is well nice I still would prefer a multi-monitor setup over 1 large screen.
I know Dan wasnt talking about a MM setup but just wanted to point out that they are far more "handy" than a large single mon.
Game on the 24, chat, monitoring apps, ect on the second or if you are like me on the third.

well, the 590 is a worse bang per buck than the 570,i reckon...youre better off sli'ng 2 570's
or cf'ng 2 6950 and clocking them high.real high.but not weed high.
