discussion Help needed for a new TV

Well it was a toss-up between:
1. 2 x GTX 480 Pre-Order
2. 2 x GTX 470 pre-order

3. A new 46" 1080P for my Familyroom.

As my 280's serve me fine for now and believing that Sept / Oct will be a much better time to purchase new GPU's I went with the new LCD...

Couldn't talk him down another $50, although I didn't put a whole lot of effort into it.

Yes CMet, I'm up to 8 TV's now, 7 are active and the 8th will now be passed on to one of my kids

btw, also purchased the Pace Shaw HD Box....pos...won't work...my other two Motorola HD boxes work flawlessly, not this piece of crap. Shaw had "issues" trying to activate it and now have to have a Shaw Tech come to my house to tell me what I already know.....the phone tech dude figures its a "cabling" issue....as I told him, all my other boxes (2 HD and 1 SD) work fine in any room.....

Pace HD Box = crap / garbage

OK...for anyone wondering how the hell you wind up with 7 TV's....first..two single people getting together and purchasing a home:

Livingroom - 50" Sony HD Flatscreen
Familyroom - 46" Sharp HD Flatscreen
Master Bedroom - 42" LG HD Flatscreen
Spare Bedroom #1 - 26" Zenith CRT
Spare Bedroom #2 - 26" Toshiba CRT
Kitchen - 14" Sony CRT
Outdoor Patio (Covered) - 20" Toshiba CRT

None going in any of the 3 bathrooms....although I do think this is a novel idea unk:

you really can't go wrong. unless you buy something crappy like insignia or from walmart (a col worker of mine had his walmart plasma catch on fire). Sharps are nice but wait until they are on sale. As for size that should only be limited by your budget. i sit no more than 10 feet from the wall i am projecting on and my tv is around 92" (diagonal).
