If you give us a price you're willing to go up to, we can suggest something. However, at your resolution, I believe the 5770 will do pretty damn good for the money.

i have around 300 dollars to spend if i really need to but obviously the less i can spend the better. but if you think ill be fine with a 5770 then i will go with that.

used 5850 with warranty left. under 300 can be had. hell even new at 270 or so i na couple places

5770 at that resolution. 5850 would be overkill but could come into play if you ever upgrade your monitor. In fact, take teh money you save with a 5770 and buy a better monitor

i was thinking about that but i need to start saving for my first car so this will be the last thing i buy for my computer for a while..

5850:punk:
Ok, maybe a little overkill for now, but a decent card for the "long haul"...if you keep the same monitor/resolution, the 5850 will probably be good for 3 years! When you feel that the next upgrade with be far far far away, you buy a little better/faster to last longer.

So there is such thing a good enough for now. A perfect example would be: a 9600GT was good enough for 1280X1050, but after upgrading to a 22" monitor, it came up short.
