Hot Water tank Prices

If you are in the market for hot water tanks, the prices are about as low as I've seen them in a while. $2-400 dollars lower than a couple months ago. In fact, I recently quoted 2 hot water power vented tanks that have dropped $250 bucks in the past week.
 
Would that be fallout from the low housing starts in Canada? Surplus inventory to clear out? I can't really think any material in the supply chain to make a water heater has gone down in price...

Typically suppliers need to meet quotas to keep their prices. This is normally why we see price drops like this.
