Howdy everyone! Been about ten years since I've posted or built a computer. Here's my new purchased parts list. Let me know what y'all think.

On my ASUS 870e board there was a setting above EXPO (I believe it was something as simple as EXPO"+") which seemed to make a significant difference to my cinebench score.
EXPO I = only the primary timings, sub timings "optimized" by ASUS
EXPO II = full timings as set by the RAM manufacturer
"Tweaked" uses some ASUS profile based on the DRAM chips themselves, otherwise it falls back to EXPO I?

I'm inclined to say EXPO II is the "safest" stability wise at least, as it's the full profile.

Tweaked was the setting I chose that seemed to make a difference over EXPO.

Well, looks like the physical build is completed. Everything is running as it should. Installed my 3 TB drive from the old rig, found my Steam library. What amazes me is that this rig runs almost completely silent. The old one sounded like an afterburner was on.

Thank you all so much for all the tips and well meaning advice, it certainly helped.

the silence can be a little creepy( creepy not a good word ) especially if it's quiet when gaming which is why I personally change the fan curves at certain temperatures and even when I did this it's very quiet

I have only used SCDkeys. Techyescity has conducted extensive research into the keys. The thing with these keys is you are the OEM, so you are your tech support lol. Glad you're happy with the new PC
I understand, but in my decades of using Windows products, their circular approach to troubleshooting has never provided me with any worthwhile support. Pretty much have always had to figure stuff out or rely on smart members here and elsewhere.

It's funny what you get used to over time. Despite everything running perfectly, I still find myself looking at the computer to visually confirm it is still running. Like actively using it wasn't enough, duh.

Ya, that's kinda the joke, we all end up having to figure it out on our own with help from great communities like HWCs and good old Google.
We end up doing the OEM part ourselves anyway, when you build as many PC's as many of us do for family, friends or business, saving money on keys is a bonus for sure.
