discussion Is it time to switch back?

Ive been a Nvidia Fan boy for 15 years now, So my question, Is it time to switch from my 5870 to a 580?


My 5870 has run flawless since day 1, BUT i might want somemore HP.

OR Should i hold out for the 6 series from ATI?

the nda is over next week for the new Red team card. Just wait until then, read a couple of review and the choice will become clear.

On my side I'll stick with my GTX480 until the next generation.

The 580 looks to be a potent card but like any absolute top of the line, brand new tech, you are paying top dollar for little pay off. Unless you find your struggling to run a lot of what you want to play, I'd definately hold off until the 570 drops in price or nvidia starts announcing new cards in the lineup.
