Kovok's New CM 690 II Advanced

Question for you Kovok; I'm thinking about getting this case for an am3 build - does the cutout in the motherboard tray give you access to your cpu heatsink? Could you take the heatsink off and put it back on without taking the motherboard out?

that looks great!

the black interior really makes the case one-of-a-kind. it's nice to see manufacturers taking the initiative to do things like this

You should see the space behind the mobo, it's a mess. A modular power supply is definitely my next buy.

Heh, I was gunna comment on that. Nice job on the wiring. I have the same psu stuffed inside a haf 922, needless to say I only use about 40% of the cables.

I don't recall if I could access the heatsink, I never really looked. Next time I remove the side panel I'll see.

I've since got an Antec 750watt Truepower. It's kinda modular, the only cables that aren't are the 24pin, the 8pin, the sata strand, molex strand and 2x 6+2pin pci-e's. Not like I'd use any less than that though. It also changes fan speed waaay too often. When I'm sitting at the desktop every minute or so the fan will speed up and you can hear it.

Still no side panel window made yet, I need some U-channel moulding stuff. I do have a new sound card in there though which looks pretty spiffy.
