Lego!

Awesome @3.0charlie ! What the plan for displaying it? You have a special place, or room for it?

I was thinking of picking up some of the Star Wars Lego heads. I know, no comparison! But I have a little Star Wars display of the ones that my daughter and I have built. But nothing that took 59 hrs! lol

On the Lego site, apparently the heads are under the category of "home decor". There you go!

Was a fantastic build. @Lysrin , I do have a concept in mind, where the rocket would be at liftoff, a couple of red leds next to the engines and a white ‘cloud’ smoke base. Need to figure out how I’ll do this… otherwise I’ve integrated 2 sets of led lights, similar locations to the spotlights found on the crawler.

Ah cool! Do post some pics when you get that sorted. You likely would anyway, but love to see them!

I just ordered the Boba Fett helmet and pre-ordered the Mandalorian helmet. Perhaps a fool and his money... but I like the look of 'em!

Was that a MOC or did you buy a kit? I've been considering getting one for my Saturn V but none of the kits I've seen come with genuine Lego. Something that size would have to be at least $400USD as it's easily 4,000 parts.

This is my plan:

I'm going to remove most of the center shelves and put my Saturn V, ISS, Columbia Shuttle (With Canadarm!), Hubble, and Apollo Lander there. Wish there was a Chris Haddfield mini. The left and right sides will have my 14+ modular buildings, Ghostbusters Firehouse, and such. I plan to get the clear glass doors for it and do my best to make it dust proof.

I didn't realize exactly HOW much Lego I had until we started moving. Stripped down to just parts in 5 gallon freezer bags I think I'm sitting at 7+ 30gal totes. I've been wanting a way to display them all and am super excited to finally have that. We bought The World a few months ago and plan to put that on the wall in our library and use Lego Flags to mark all the places we've been.

I keep hoping Lego will make some of the Soviet era spacecraft. I'd LOVE a Mir, Buran, Soyuz, and a N1. Having the Saturn V next to a N1 would be awesome!

Have you seen the new Globe that's coming out?

It’s a MOC made of 3 sets plus the Saturn V model;
For a total of 7700ish parts plus the 300ish I’ve added as ‘upgrades’.
Well crap, all the sets it’s based on are retired and I’m sure they’re not cheap on the secondary market.

Yea, the 42028 Rough Terrain Crane was stupid expensive everywhere. Was looking at getting it shipped from Europe but then I got a "decent" deal from a local guy through the kijjijijij. I really need to get that put together. Once I do I'll take a pic of it with the couple other technic sets I have.

Honestly, I don't care about the motorization. I mean it's wicked cool and all but it's going to sit in a display case. I'd rather have cool integrated LEDs instead to light it up.
