Looking for a new place to go this year and having a hard time finding anything that doesn't want the fire out a midnight and you have to wisper at 11pm. Now it's not like I have no respect for any neighbors but that doesn't mean I don't want to listen to some music (at a lowish volume) and talk normally if you know what I mean. I don't want to feel like I'm in some kind of camping old age home haha. Also would rather not be by a ton of people if you know what I mean, I'm 43 and would rather not have tons of screaming kids or youngster partying loudly at 4am.

One of the big criteria would be the need for power and walking distance to a shower and toilet (preferably flushing). I'm not as fussy about these things but you know how it goes. The women tend to like a few of the normal comforts in life. A big bonus would have a lake or river/stream extremely close to the site. Oh yeah, I should probably mention that I'll be tenting it. That's kind of important information :haha:

If you know a good site, hopefully you can give me a good place to go for firewood. There is no way I can pay $7 or so for a small bag of firewood. It would literally cost me 4 hundred or more over 3 nights haha.

I'm pretty open for things to do in the area, I like exploring and taking pictures. I know I'm asking a lot, I know I've been spoiled by the couple of places around Bancroft.

Thanks and let me know what you've got.

Thanks,

I've sent them an email and we will see how it goes.

I was expecting some more replies....doesn't anyone go camping anymore?

Haha it's a computer website, you can't expect all these nerds to go outside ;)

Suggestion 1 - Leave women at home. That's not camping lmao.

Suggestion 2 - Check out the Lake Superior route. Gorgeous drive, some really nice BnB's, relatively inexpensive, lots of campgrounds around it, tons of awesome things to see (look up any number of lists of things to see in Ontario and it will include numerous entries for Lake Superior), and off the beaten path enough that it's relatively calm and laid back (calm as in not busy, laidback as in no one bugs you about music, fires, etc).
