looking for some USB expansion / adapter card recommendations

I have a client with a free PCIe x16 (x8 electrical) slot and asked me to find a USB expansion card that will add a mix of USB Type A and C ports.

they have a hub but the printer plugged into it are constantly glitching. being self-powered I don't know if switching to a powered USB hub would help with that.

edit - I usually go to StarTech when I needing a thingamajig, whozitwutter, somethingarather, etc, but their prices have gone waaay up and they don't happen to have anything suitable.
 
Powered USB hubs really do make a difference on higher power draws. I can plug in 4x high powered work related devices with a powered hub into a single USB port otherwise I have to have each one plugged into a dedicated port.

At home a powered hub allows me to drive, keyboard, mouse, mic, webcam, phone charger etc which also would not be possible via an unpowered hub.
 
@Marzipan need to know exactly which ports and speeds are needed. I was looking at this one because it's one of very few that has both styles of internal USB 3 header, meaning an older system can make full use of a modern case's ports: Link

it's about a year old and running Ryzen 5000 and they want to add a 4 or more USB 3.0+ Type A and C ports. so far Ive only found one card from StarTech with 2x 3.0+ Type A and 2x USB-C for $200.00...which is why I was hoping there'd be a card that expands to take a second slot that doubles the ports.

Does he not have a header on his motherboard for that? I'd think this unit "should" perform much better than an unpowered hub since it's powered by the SATA cable.
