I'd get the FTW version if you plan to OC as it uses Digital PWMs IIRC.

The 790i can already OC good, I personally see no reason for spending extra money for little tweaks like that IMO, but just my $0.02
Well I'd go for it if it was cheaper. but it doesn't seem like it is.
I'm sticking to the GTX 260 because it's at $219 on my current order, unless there are more arguments against it.
So far here are the changes:

Ah, going for the FTW? I respect your decision nonetheless, build looks allright, personally I would get the C216 version because it's right about comparable to a full-on GTX280, but either way, meh

Take a look at what I posted here. I myself won't get Core i7 and DDR3 because it's not worth it imo, and it'll be way out of your budget. I don't think you'd need the computing power of a Core i7.

Hey, well the new machine is finally built.
It's running very nice, and the fans are much more silent than the previous machine.
Again, I decided to go for the vanilla GTX 260 because I got for $219 at the time which was a great deal. Didn't think that adding $120 more for a few more cores was worth it. I got the FTW mobo version with the PWM, for $255. In essence, the best of a well matured architecture.
The next part is to add a decent sound card and the psyko headphones, as well as additional hard drives for a RAID.
