So far so good. It did an install from updates without any issues that I can see (other than a mem address not accessible error at shutdown that's persisted through several builds).
Believe it or not, there's a couple of positives right off the bat!
First and foremost, they've fixed the issue where P2P update options defaulted to "on for all" and wouldn't stay stuck at off on reboot. That was a huge issue for me and one of the main reasons I wasn't willing to leave the TP test PC on daily for testing purposes.
Second up is the fact that WMP now plays Flac files natively. There was some mention of native flac playback in one of the blogs, but without further info it sounded to me more like it was only going to be offered through the metro music app.
Native Flac playback doesn't sound like a huge deal since most folks who will use flac will probably have a preferred third party program for music playback, but it's at the very least a tangible improvement over win7.
edit:
Completely subjective (without benchmarks to back it up) but file and disk access/manipulation speeds seem to have improved. Disk cleanup is no longer brutally slow.
There's a new metro app called the network beta... doesn't do anything ATM, but if we're lucky it might be a single source app for internal network sharing/syncing. Imagine if you could easily sync files and folders as well as pairing up different devices as backup partners.
That's the kind of value added functionality that might make migrating to windows 10 worthwhile.
