discussion Multi-function printer

I'm looking at getting a new printer as I need a multi-function printer now. I've been using a Samsung ML-1210 for a few years without issue. If I found a great deal I'd be willing to spend 300 bucks, maybe a bit more. Would like something that is going to last a long time. Only needs to be a mono-laser, no colour required.

Reliability is my main concern as I don't do lots of printing but I've started doing lots of scanning. What reliable multi-function printers do you recommend?

I am using a HP OfficeJet 6310 all in one.
Connected straight through the router and always does what it's supposed to do.

Yeah those are rather great printers, typically Best Buy or Futureshop will have them on sale, or if you know someone who is buying a new computer/laptop system from them, they sometimes have "buy this printer for only x more dollars with the purchase of a system" and if they dont need it you can pay the difference.

running the HP officejet 6500 here (with wifi). Man what a pig on ink... the cartridges are the size of C cell batteries =P

go laser multifunction, Canon Imageclass with networkability.

(note.. cheap multifunctions dont scan to PC through the network... only when using the direct USB cable).
