My Sennheiser cable broke, so I need a new set.

My question:

What brand is the best? Sennheiser, Klipsch, Bose? I've no idea.

Also must be under €60,- since I'm not spending a fortune on them :D

And no Beats please... :D

Poll just added 9 brands, may have missed some, I'm actually sure I did ^^

The music I listen to: Rock, Alternative

I don't want the boomboombass stuff those kids at school call 'quality' headphones *cough* Beats *cough*

Sites (all dutch, sorry :P)

Informatique - Oordopjes

salland.eu | Artikelen in categorie Hoofdtelefoons ( CONFUSING page, but at the filers 'Merk'= Brand, I'd filter that first)

In Ear | Goedkoop | voordeel | online | prijsvergelijk | bestellen | Online Webshop Bax-shop.nl

Oordopjes | Goedkoop | voordeel | online | prijsvergelijk | bestellen | Online Webshop Bax-shop.nl

in ear earphones - Thomann Nederlandse Cyberstore

In-ears - Hoofdtelefoonstore.nl (left, you can select brands, probably best site to buy)

Oordopjes, portable hoofdtelefoons

In-Ear oordopjes - Hoofdtelefoon & Microfoon - Beeld & Geluid bestel online bij Media Markt (annoying site, but there's a physical shop here, so I can look there too. Press 'meer merken' for all the brands)

I also want to narrow down the brands of which I will buy one from.

For rock IEM's I personally prefer Etymotic's house sound. Clean, punchy bass with an excellent mid range and treble. Mid and treble can be a little in your face, so soundstage is quite tight but imaging is excellent. The "kids" version or MC5 should both be in your price range.

Some people find them to be a tad cold and lifeless with a bit of harshness, but I'd say they're the closest things to Grado's in an IEM. Do note that they isolate completely and might feel like ear rape to some people.

I'll take a look at the 269 reviews. The MH1C, not sold in Holland, but eBay has it. Pretty cheap, only 30 euros. Is it really good?

Not an expert, but I was always under the impression that Klipsch and Shure had good in-ears. Voted for Klipsch on this one. Sennheisers should be alright assuming they are as good as there over-ear headphones. Bose.... just no...
