Need to find a case for cheap

I need a cheap case, ideally mid tower or more, and i need the front panel to have a door, or even a top and bottom door setup.

This will be turned into a stealth fridge for my IT dept, so i don't want to pay big bucks, don't care about noise, fan placement or anything like that. I need the door(s) to cover the entire front, and i need it to fit an ATX power supply.

Thanks a lot guys!

When I built up a bunch of systems for our office for key people (like myself), I wanted a system that had plenty of capacity, could handle an AIO cooler, had a door, USB 3 ports, and sound dampening material. Granted it doesn't cover the ENTIRE front (there is a cut out on the door to allow access to the USB, audio, reset, and power button), but it covers everything else. Oh, and it looks very nice.

I settled on the Corsair 550D.

Awesome case, but since i plan on mangling it to make a fridge, it's a bit too pricey.

Looking for something as cheap as possible, doesn't matter if it looks like crap.

I saw the Thermaltake Urban T21, but it's still a bit more expensive than i would like to, so i'm hoping someone knows of something cheaper

Thanks a lot tho! Pics are nice!

Edit: This is actually the case i dream of, but can't find anything similar anywhere...

Are you sure it's going to work as a fridge? A key part of a fridge is it's excellent insulation and air seal when the door is closed. Computer cases aren't insulated and getting a proper airseal is going to be tricky, not impossible, but it's going to be kind of a mess of silicon and gasketing to even get a decent seal.

Not saying it's impossible, but it's worth bringing up.

You should havea look at: Corsair Carbide Series 200R

$ 80 Cdn at Newegg.ca

Nice case but it's missing the FRONTAL swiveling door, which is crucial for my purpose... Thank you however

I agree, but you never know. I've seen crazier things ... like old Antec cases made into "plant" grow enclosures.

On a side note, did you guys see the Linus video he recently did about putting a PC inside a fridge? To us old time water coolers, the results shouldn't come as a surprise. His last comments pretty much go with what you are saying about insulation and such.

I'm well aware of the necessities of a fridge. I do have a few ideas on getting it as airtight as possible, but to sum it up, the inside of the case will be sealed by building an interior box of insulating Styrofoam, as well as some expanding urethane foam. For the door i will fill it with expanding foam and carve it, and afterwards will try to find a soft foam sealing band that you can buy at the hardware store for your door.

The cooling will be done by two TEC coolers epoxied to old heat sinks we have laying around here. On the inside i will mound low profile heat sinks and have a circulating fan at the bottom.

The inside will be two slanted pieces of clear acrylic so that my lovely cans of Mountain Dew can roll gently from the upper, loading slot and down to the lower, dispensing slot.

If the case comes with an upper and lower door like the one i posted higher, great, if not i'll find a way to cut the door in two.

all this will be powered by a 300W ATX PSU, and regulated by a thermometer.

I do have access to an electrical engineer and possibly one or multiple 3d printers, sooo there's a decent amount of tweaking that can be done on that side...

The design isn't mine, i stole it from InventGeek
