NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB & GTX 460 768MB Review Comment Thread

Hrmmmm........ NCIX is not showing any available stock ATM.

Great price point on these, but I'm more inclined to hope that ATI cards drop a bit in price rather than rushing out to pick one up.

Actually NCIX has them listed already :)

And as I said.... no stock listed!!!!!! :) (The HD5550 doesn't count.... ;) )

I saw this: EVGA | Products on EVGA's website.

Does the reference card expel hot air out the back of the case? because somehow EVGA is making a version of the GTX 460 with the usual blower style cooler...

Bingo. Its not a matter of this card being "great". Its a matter of what ATi is going to do now that nV has a threat.

I forsee a 5850 (and maybe a 5870?) pricedrop within the next 2 weeks.

Partially, yes. However, it isn't that hard to pop a blower style heatsink onto the card...

Where in the world did you get those prices? Newegg.ca prices run from $209 for the 768MB version to $240 for an overclocked Gigabyte 1GB card.

Newegg.ca - Computer Hardware,Video Cards & Video Devices,Desktop Graphics / Video Cards,GeForce GTX 400 series,$200 - $300

Yup, it blows outside of the case. Im going to pre-order the 1 GB EVGA 460 superclocked once its available. EVGA is the only way to go with a Nvidia card :punk:

oops, good call. some blow hot air inside the case

also, for ati's response. it would be nice to see price drops, but from what i gather the stock is not mountain high sooo.....

maybe well see a 'new' card or the intermediary step weve heard rumours about :)

edit. hold on a sec. the evga is more expensive than the giga? hmmm
