NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1GB & GTX 460 768MB Review Comment Thread

Unfortunately, I did not due to time constraints with this review, the ASUS ARES and a GTX 460 SLI article.

Is it just me or is aftermarket cooling going to be impossible to find for this card? It looks like it uses a 6 hole rectangular mounting system.

And wouldn't a blower be better for this card? (like what EVGA and Zotac did) The thermal profile seems to be a lot better, a blower wouldn't have to work very hard to keep all the heat out of the case.

Nice to finally see such a great card at this price point though, it's been a while.

dont think so, at least in a month or two.
perhaps. take in account the noise :)
yup, been a while since weve seen a decent 200 or sub card perform with the big boys

Interesting to Note is the Stock EVGA GTX460's have lifetime warranty, and the SC editions of these cards only have 2 Years.

Otherwise looks good, Just hope PNY gets some in stock soon.

finally someone read me posts lol!

anyone thinks 20 bucks more for the more rop's and bigegr ram version worth it? :)

From what I see in the reviews, it's only worth it for gaming at higher resolutions, like 1920x1200+.
For folding and gaming at other resolutions I'd save the 20 bucks.

actually it seems that more ram is better for folding as well.

i really dont get it why they made two versions.

I would rather stick to 768mb just for the nice design as the 1gb version isn't that esthetic.
