Ongoing RAM failures?

I will second verifying slots 2/4 are in use and that the bios is up to date. If still having issues try one stick at a time…if one is off (or both), then rma.

If it helps I had an old board that seemed to hate storage devices.

I lost 4x Raptor 150 ADFD, 1x 120GB Revo Drive, 1x 256GB Crucial M4, and something else..

Haven't lost a drive before or after that board lol..

Something to try before RMA.

You can brush the pins of the RAM with a pink eraser.

Funny story, my wife was in computer support 20 years ago, and I did not believe this trick when she suggested it.

I fixed my RAM problem (bad contact), and was good to go.

TLDR : Clean the pins of the RAM, pink eraser, or 90% alcool and Q-tip. Try at stock settings with a livecd / usb of memtest86.

Can confirm this works, also clean the dust from the memory slots.
