i bought a Sigma 50mm 1.4 lens a few days ago and finally had a chance to take some shots when i left early from work, but if was so friggin cold i literally clicked 1/2 dozen times and i booted it back to the car(wasn't really dressed properly, work clothes and all). this is as far as i got up in Lynn Valley Headwaters:

Interesting place for photos. I hike/trail run around there in the summer, you can get all the way to grouse Mtn from the back (hanes valley route)... Coliseum Mtn is nice too, like a whole different world considering it's a few hours hike only. There's an old water line that goes through that lynn headwaters area, and some abandoned mill/cabin sites from logging days remain there. Some of the sites require some off trail wandering to find though lol. But if you go up the route there's an old horse car frame that's stuck in a tree, with wheels and all. Lots of stuff over a hundred years old that's been rusted and reclaimed by mother nature. Here's some pictures I took about two to three years ago.

I'm not that great of a photographer. Oh well. Some of these taken from nikons, some from shitty point and shoot cameras.
What's that in the distance? Is that a city I see.... ?
Ah, it's Vancouver! (seen from near the summit of Coliseum Mtn)
and there you go.
