just a thought but have you really overkilled it with rads even with cooling everything you have way more rad then needed unless your going for a crazy overclock? we always overdue water cooling

Copy pasta of what you tell to MpG yesterday:P but I can't disagree in this case it is. Their will be so much tube that it will probably not look clean anymore?

I hear ya, but I feel the opposite. So let's agree to disagree :angry2: :haha:

Why run water if you're not OC'ing the shit out of your gear? The majority of people run far too little rad for their setups. When I see CPUs and SLI setups being cooled by a triple rad I want to scream... :censored:

Granted, there's lots of factors that should be considered when determining the needs of a water setup, but when it comes to dealing with heat (our nemesis) you can never have too much rad, only too little. In my case (believe it or not) I don't have room for shrouds or a push/pull config, so I'm making up for the "inefficiencies" by adding additional rad space.

For this build, I'm looking at 2 CPUs, 4 GPUs and the chipset... so that's the equivalent of a dual rad per block/processor a push config... hardly overkill IMO.

I will, at most, be running 2 loops. I hope only have 1 loop, but that will depend on the chipset block... unfortunately, there are no chipset blocks on the market yet, so I will have to wait before I can finalize my setup. Besides, my builds are never messy... ;)
 
Huh. Saw that pic with the 2 5970's and thought "That 1st card is going to choke for air". :doh: Then I remembered whose build it is, and now I wonder how the stock heatsinks stayed on long enough for the picture. :haha:
 
I agree with LK and what he says about people not using enough rad. If your going to watercool, atleast put enough rad so you are getting better performance than an air cooler... Ive got an i7 860 and a 5870 with a 360 rad a 240.

I understand what LK is meaning about not sure but i think some are forgetting the advantages of water hell i can get better temps with a single rad then any air cooler easy.:thumb:

I know... they can't release it fast enough. I can't even start to plan my loop until I get this block :( It's going to be interesting to see how they cover all the real estate. There are a few "home made" blocks out there now, but they don't cover all the toasty parts -- it's just impossible to do it all with 1 block.
