I want to make a little triangular box to hide the unsightly cables going behind my mobo from the psu, what material do you guys use?

Lots of people are using colored acrylic. Take a look at 47Knucklehead's build log to see what you can do.

As sugar said, I'd go with acrylic.

It's easy to work with, even if you aren't into bending it, you can still glue/weld it. It's cheap. It comes in a ton of colors and can be transparent, translucent, or opaque. But best of all when working near electronics, it is non-conductive.

The grey part of this one is painted acrylic (I used a paint that perfectly matched the color of the wire I use to sleeve the power wires). It gives the whole inside of the case a nice smooth look, including hiding the PSU.

My latest build uses a lot of acrylic. Mostly sheets. The mid plate was easy to do, just basically cut to shape with a saw and drill holes. I made an insert for the front and back of the case too. What you may be interested in to hide stuff is the box that still has brown paper in this picture. The "dog house" is just to hide the back side of the 5.25" drive bays and all the ugly wires.

I when "ghetto" when I made it. Just straight cuts, not bending, and a little bit of super glue.

Here is the "rats nest" without the cover.
