Well, I haven't done anything online with Canada Computers for years, since their delivery was always a nightmare. That said, in the past, I have used a Visa and debit card to order from their site, never had a problem with payment.
So good news, Simcoe County maintenance showed up this morning, the temp in the house was 15c not bad, but they have put in portable heaters till they can get the gas back on. Well, that makes me happy
electric portable heaters, not gas powered ones, at first I was confused because I was like the gas is off lol. He called them portable heaters I dont really think they are. From what I've seen, they're just plug-in heaters with temp settings. saying the gas should be back in a day or so and the "portable heaters wont turn on unless it gets below 10c from what the guy told my mother, I didnt see him.Heh.... portable heaters + gas doesn't really sound like a good idea to me.........![]()
It was 100% cut for lack of payment. I picked up the cut-off notice that explained the reason, lack of payment, without being able to reach the owner, they can't cut it over winter, to my understanding. It was cut because Simcoe County forgot to pay the bill since June 1. It got missed because they took it out of their computers. They plan on selling it.I guess it depends why the gas was turned off in the first place... hopefully not due to a potential leak. I didn't think in Ontario it was allowed to cut gas or electricity anymore due to non-payment. Maybe it's just electricity though.

I'll be using it while I'm in Japan most of December, so I'd definitely end up swtiching back down the road, but 21+ days of 'free international roaming' (really just baked into the plan) will be a massive savings. I could use an esim, but would prefer having my phone and sms active.Assuming you need that level of long distance service and data allocation, I think it's fine. Pixel 9 and S24FE seem to be the free phones at most carriers. I find people tend to over-buy their cell plans thinking it's a "good deal". It may be, but if a $40 plan suits your needs, spending $70 on a "good deal" isn't really that
With the phone being "included", I think it might be a tactic to lock you into a 2yr contract. I would also confirm that the price isn't fixed for 2 years, rather the $45 discount is. They can increase the base plan pricing usually.
