Rants

That's the 1st time I've heard a complaint about the 4.7. Under $23 000 for a decent 2011 Sierra with less than 47 k kms isn't too bad. 5.3 crew 4x4 air...

Lots of power in the hemi but much heavier on gas due to my lead ft. The 4cyl on/off fuel miser wouldn't do me any good. hehehehehe:whistle:

Give me the titan and put away extra $ for repairs. Nice truck though. Don't mind the ford platinum, the only 1 of their trucks that doesn't have too stiff a suspension for my back but too expensive.

Seen too many fords in my buddie's garage with engine issues from their new line of engines. Timing gears have to be replaced. Design issue.:blarg:

To pull the engine the cab has to come off.....:shok:

Dealerships hate them!

If computers were designed like cars/trucks then nobody would build their own.

Cars and trucks are retarded, and are getting worse year by year.

It's relative joy working on my '88

Apparently I haven't been burning the right incense at my personal shrine to the gods of international package shipping.... my luck over the last couple of months has been abysmal.

At NCIX it seems that if an "in stock" item doesn't need to be backordered, it's pretty much guaranteed to be not only out in BC, but also stored in one of their secondary warehouses so that it must first be sent to the main warehouse before starting the long drive down east. At TD it's even worse... items listed as in stock then turn out to be third party drop shipped items (If I wanted that I'd bloody well order from amazon) and apparently it's not only their definition of "in stock" that's different from mine, but their definition of "drop shipped" means that it's first sent to TD's US warehouse and then shipped to me from there.... as I said in my support email.... if I wanted to wait two weeks to receive an item that's listed as "in stock" I could have ordered the bloody thing direct from hong kong for half the price.......

Today it's this.......

Notice the two "departed TO" entries??? Seeing it leave on the 10'th I was pretty sure it'd be processed last night to be on the truck this morning, but this morning I see the second entry which pegs the departure as last evening so I "might" see the delivery tomorrow.....

Cousin smoked me in the face with a kitchen cabinet door this morning. Got a small gash in the middle of my forehead and it's all swollen. Ouch.

Seriously?????? If I'm reading this right, the package didn't make it onto the truck for delivery today..... you left the bloody package sitting in concord for 48+ hours and then wonder why you can't make the delivery date??????

This will push the TD "in stock" order up to 15 days.

edit: Ok I take it back.... literally 10 minutes after I posted this a UPS dude walking around with a hand cart arrived at my door. Maybe it didn't show up as "on vehicle for delivery" because there wasn't a delivery vehicle....

I'm actually lucky that I didn't miss the shipment while I was downstairs posting the rant..... ;)

Damn it! My dad can't seem to catch a break ... after almost 3 years battling colon cancer, which spread to his liver and lungs, and 4 separate surgeries (initial colon, right lung, liver and then left lung this year), he has another tumour in his ribcage. The doc suspects that it happened when the instruments from his laparoscope were withdrawn, so at least it appears like the residual cancer cells are history. On top of that, his next surgery is scheduled for his birthday!

He was just starting to feel great too, and luckily he's bounced back quite well from all the other surgeries.
