So, MS Word allows me to create a document 618MB in size, it won't open a file larger than 512MB...

Heh.... why am I not surprised? Any luck with OOo?


On another note..... integrated cloud "solutions" need to either die, or at least have an easy opt out option. I shouldn't have to dig deeply into group policies to prevent my PCs from automatically syncing files and/or storing what might be proprietary information somewhere other than my personal PC.

Try SoftMaker Office. It is fully compatible with MS office. They have a free version you can try out. I have been using it for about 5 years. Full version is about $70 and comes with 3 seat license.

Was eagerly awaiting the Samsung Galaxy S5 because my Gnex was pretty beat up. Murphys' Law swoops in and my phone breaks for good :angry2:

Looks like the S5 launches on Monday, but still hasnt hit manufacture yet. That puts it more than a month away in retail... Hate to get last years tech when I plan on holding onto the handset for at least two years.

like that. I think it cost me $50, and u might still be able buy additional time.

Try talking to ur provider, sometimes they have a loaner or they can help some way, perhaps...

This, I told them I was cancelling my contract, they asked why.. I said my phone is broke and I can't afford a replacement and the contract.. so the sent me a used one for free and didn't require it back.

Generally I find most people(well houses) have a spare handset somewhere anyway (old Nokia or some non smart phone ) Should be able to get something for either nothing or very little to tide you over.

Actually, Wordpad could open it, FFS. I opened it in that and printed it to PDF, I'd have been really annoyed if I had to recreate that document.

Day 5 of the swine flu. Also got a damn sty , looks like someone punched me in the eye (although the disparaging remark I had made to a friend the other night while playing WoT might have had something to do with it it lol). My GSXR needs new boots, badly. I can spin them in the wet and dry on a straightaway. Purchased some beautiful Michelin Power 3 Dual Compound tires that are supposed to be installed today and it's friggen snowing to some extent out there.

Grrr. I was hoping for a reasonably warm day and some one on one scrub in time.
