I think Origin may be the worst launcher in existence for gaming. Constantly logging me out, not allowing me to log in, screens stuck at processing and updates taking multiple attempts to download. How is it possible for software developers to still suck so badly? Seriously, the game runs flawlessly for me now after all the bugs were worked out, but the launcher is still the abortion it was in bf3.

Bah.... this is really starting to turn into the build from hell.... first the PSU doesn't fit, then my Classified doesn't fit so I swap out my young lad's Intel X58, during the swap process I've managed to snap a capacitor off of my HT Omega sound card, and now after hours of fighting with cabling (this isn't the most cable friendly case....) I'm getting a bloody three beep no post error code which no amount of memory swapping seems to be willing to resolve. Top it all off.... when I went to do a cmos reset I discovered that the shorting plug had become loose and fallen off, thus my first boot was in bios recovery mode for this board so who knows what's going on with it...

That's enough for tonight... I'll try the board outside of the case (a chore in itself.... ;) ) tomorrow, and if that doesn't work I may have to see if I can boot it with the 920 proc out of my young lad's PC......

Making some progress... apparently the Intel board doesn't play nice with my 980X so I'll check to see if there's a bios update, if not my young lad will get an upgrade and I'll stick with the D0 920. :)

Not quite full sized bald Eagles, but we had quite a few hawks / falcons down home when I visited earlier this month... the only thing that would have worried me was if I had a comb-over when they were circling overhead.... :)

Getting a moving quote to see that the estimated weight they gave more than double the weight I moved out from Fredericton was. Yes I have some more stuff, but I do not have more than double the weight of items I'm moving with me. When I told the guy their weight was waaay off from everyone else and thus so was their quote the guy said he is going to recalculate.

I move from Fredericton to Whitby with about 1500lbs of stuff, most quotes moving out east are around 2000-2200lbs which sounds right as I'm taking a tad more furniture. but 3300lbs for a 2 bedroom apartment without any couches and a double bed that does not weight 200lbs...I think they are off quite a bit.

Well damnit.... I spoke too soon. I've got the bloody thing to post into bios with the 920, but now it refuses to move beyond bios. Keeps giving me the message "turn off power and reinstall the jumper in normal mode position" whenever I exit bios and then boots back into bios with the jumper set to normal position.

Guess I'll have to go hardware shopping....... ;)

Hey SSW, sounds like my upgrade build. Bad psu, bad boardSSS, bad cpu cooler, bad SSD, and when trying for RMA I get accused of damaging the thing myself....:angry2: I'm sure I forgot to mention something...

The only thing I can say about that build is I'm glad it's over...

Kick Butt PC though!!!

If you haven't updated the bios, maybe that'll do the trick. GL!

I'll have to do a bit more digging but as far as I can tell there is no USB bios update option for this board (Intel DX58SO) from within bios. There is a recovery mode, but that requires the bios files to be on a floppy drive which I don't have kicking about, and even if I did, any floppy media I might find is probably long dead if I could find one. :)

I bit the bullet and ordered a haswell mITX bundle which will do for now in this current build and then if/when I get bored I've got a large mITX case sitting on the sidelines I can transfer it into for a full fledged WC build.

As far as the board goes..... I'll have to decide if I just want to cut my losses on it. The 980X is currently rocking in my young lad's rig but if I want to make use of the 920 I may see about ordering a replacement bios chip for the intel board. If not, I may put the 980X up for sale as my young lad doesn't need a 12 thread chip and the 920 would do him just fine.

every time I go fo rmy run there is a parrt I cut through beside a lake there are Bald eagles nesting , on the lake swallows dancing through the air, and I have been noticing a few nesting falcons .
my rant is sort of morre a complaint, for the past 6 years my nose rruns no matter which season and on my runs my nose seems to keep pace with me I have to run with a dam hanky in my hand to keep wiping my dripping nose , and of course because my nose is doing this I cannort breath through it which is a huge part of running so I am a mouth breather this make my mouth dry on my 12KM + runs :angry2:

Damm the R button on my old laptop poped off and I cant seem to get it back on grrr
