Rants etc.....

You know... everyone is always.. "Shop local support the economy". I call around today to a few shops looking for headgaskets for my truck. I found 1 place that has them in stock.. the price $49/each.. I need two. $80 total.

I go to RA look them up $22/each .. $40 for both and if you toss shipping in with that $67!!! I still come out way ahead. Only issue that I have to wait on them :(

probably low quality head gaskets , if they are the same brand then Price match or see if they will price match.

But amazon is worldwide. So that counts as "local" Yepp can agree with that above. Localshops used to be horific overpriced. Don't get me started at pc shops.

Best they have in the store for gaming is a gtx760 from zotac(rly:doh:) and some plain old gtx650. Almost double the price as they are worth atm. Gtx760 for 270€. Duh so far they dropped under 200€ in almost all onlinestores.

Other rant. Chrome on Ubuntu 14.10. YOU NO PLAY SOUND THRU USB SOUNDCARD?! I'm searching everywhere to get this fixed and still that odd problem. Just because I use an asio device xD Lying on the ground with phonespeakers in next to the pc is a bit awkward.

Need an extendercable or buy a 900D to sit in there.

Well after a few days of trying to figure out why my Vidcard was making a vibration noise I finally got off my Butt and pulled it to discover that one of the fan blades are broken off hence the vibration noise while gaming ugg.

So I decided to plugin a spare 560ti into it which works great but the HDMI plugin on it doesn't work so now I don't get audio to my TV when watching Movies . debating on buying another card since the card with the broken fan blade is a 560ti twin frozen and is a tiny bit dated but I don't really want to $pend money grrrrrr.

Try to cut down the blade on the opposite side to balance it out?

Will the cooler from the card with the broken HDMI audio work on the one with the broken fan blade? Barring that, you can always pick up an aftermarket AC Cooling cooler for it.

IDK if the holes will line up in your situation, but I have had some luck hacking up and screwing down the fan from a stock Phenom X4 9950 cooler onto a GTX460.
Toss in a chunk of rubber in some fins(or hotglue if flatter surface) to keep the wires away from the blades and you are all set. :thumb:

No longer remember the max temp but it certainly does not overheat.
