Rants etc.....

Came home to a notice from property management on the door. Homeowner has sold home and I have to be out by Aug 31. At least they give me 3+ months. No one has ever came to look at the home in 5 years. But I knew it was going to happen as they demo'd the two lots next to mine.

I guess this is the push to get me off my ass and try to get a mortgage.

3+ months is pretty good. I had weeks of notice of intent to sell. I would have been moving out mid November had I not bought the place. Totally worth owning your own place even if it is expensive.

mild rant, being put on hold for a while then getting through then being transferred, and then there is an issue and you get disconnected, needless to say I am not going through all of that just to find out if I have to pay for parking to drop something off

Water! Even if it's an AIO. I bought one of the corsair 240 rads and bought some of the cheap artic 120 - 5 packs, then put it in push/pull. Quiet when set to max and zero heat issues.
I always liked water I still use my original custom build I did the water block weighs a ton but it is super quiet and everything at idle is close to the ambient temperature like rarely over 24c max heat I have ever had when stress testing on any system ( I am talking over 6 years ) 65c

OMFG so I had my parts for my PC all worked good outside the case and without my NVME installed or my 6600 vid card, I installed everything into the case the only difference was I plugged in a couple of drives including my NVME and also my 6600 vid card I fire it up it crashes so I tried a few things unplug every then put old vid card in and used the SSD with windows installed that worked before, I get boot loop then it starts to load windows crashes, check for a goof I cleared the CMOS still the same, I mess around with this for a few hours can't seem to get it to work, so I try my NVME again ( which but the way works perfectly on my 7700k build ) but still not go I decided to take the SSD with the good windows and reinstall windows on it and it works
windows installed all seem to be working correctly so now I am going to either have to formate and do a clean install of windows on my NVME and reinstall every sing game and software which will take several hours or buy a new NVME plug the old one into the second slot and try and drag and drop everything from the old drive to the new drive.

WTJH did it work perfectly until I install it into the case then put my 6600 vid card in and the NVME drive
I have a feeling that this is going to have to wait until I get a new drive and then will take most of my days off redoing every single thing UGGGG

Ok that was weird just as I was about to give up I installed the NVME drive rebooted into bios changed something about the UEFI to something else I think CSM or something like that then thought whatever ever I went to power off my system I guess I hit reset instead of Power off, went to the washroom came back and I was on my desktop I have no idea what happened because I am sure I didn't save the setting. so I powered off and installed everything back into the case rebooted it fired up. oh the joys of PC building.
if it was the CSM I looked it up and apparently it is used for older hardware all my hardware if pretty new MSI B550M mb with the newest Bios , 5600x cpu 6600 AMD vid card ram WD NVME 1TB HD

CSM is used when you install windows using the old format under legacy, not UEFI. but the drive shouldn't show up in BIOS unless in legacy/CSM mode or UEFI whichever one is correct for the drive to be seen and boot.

CSM supports MBR
UEFI supports GPT

here's a good little page
