It's a digital signal so it'll be as good as the amp on the powered speakers you use.

If you have the desk space you could also opt for larger edifier speakers (select size/features/cost/etc) of your choosing, and pair it to their or any other subwoofer you want (just make sure the speakers have sub out (some do, and some don’t).
