discussion RMA Shipping Question

Shipping both ways? I have RMA'd stuff with EVGA before and have never had to pay both ways. How did they make you pay both ways? Are you sure it was not some stupid customs fees that got added when they are not supposed to?

Nope it was not because of customs. Before I could even get an RMA number I had to pay for return shipping and then when I shipped it to them I also had to pay for shipping. Not to mention when the motherboard arrived the heatsink was damaged so I had to pay $30 to fix that. So it wasn't a pleasant experience. A lot of Canadians are complaining about having to pay for shipping on the EVGA forums. So I am not gonna buy another product from them unless they change or have an RMA department in Canada as it isn't worth paying $60 for shipping plus $30 for the heatsink. $90 is too much to just get the dang thing fixed.

i like giga boards a lot, but they need a place up here for rma's and stuff. wont stop buying them,though.

Wait so you had to pay for the return shipping before you even got a RMA number from them? Hmm, I guess their process is different for motherboards compared to video cards. I know the 8800GT I have out for RMA right now I did not have to pay for return shipping.
