discussion Safely Remove Hardware icon missing on MSI motherboards.

Hey all, I have an odd but super annoying little issue here. It seems that the Safely Remove Hardware icon is missing for me on computer. It seems that every MSI motherboard I've used has the same issue.

Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

MSI B850 Tomahawk
Windows 11

Icon is a windows thing, irrelevant to hardware. By default it gets turned off in W11

I agree with @Izerous…from what I know it is a windows default, not a MOB related thing.

If you haven't already, try toggling the setting on/off. Sometimes these kinds of settings need a poke.

Nope, not fixed . It's toggled as on and yet is not "on"

I have observed this issue repeatedly on MSI boards and so it is worth noting

I have tried that, unfortunately no result

Have you checked the show hidden icons? I assume it's Windows. Have you gone into the taskbar settings, where you can select which apps to show icons for?

Not sure if that option is the same as Win10, don't have my Win11 system booted
