San Ace Goodness!

Sanyo Denki specs suggest this fan goes anything between 0 and 6000 rpm. The only question how to control this beast. I bought a 20A controller off e-bay today...

Dazmode will hook you up for these fans. I did not want to advertise just that yet because he has limited stock and I was going to buy another 3 fans...:thumb:. Yeah that controller we are looking at Dazmode will do the job. I talked to the guy who makes them and gave him the fan specs. Time to test it out when it comes in. I am going to pick up the controller as well next week. So tight for cash at the moment.

Wow that fan is insane. I could see someone with a push-pull setup wake up in the middle of the night and see their entire rig hovering a few inches off the ground! :haha:

Funny you mentioned push/pull because I am taking out my regular San Ace fans out of my bottom rad in Black Phoenix and will be replacing them with their more powerful brothers. I am going to measure temp differences as well but I am sure it will not be much since my water temps are always within 3 degrees of ambient to begin with. I am doing it for the same reasons why I powder coated my case and used BP compression fittings etc. It is for the wow factor within the child in me. Always wanted to have a hover PC and now that dream is being realized....Thank you Dazmode! :thumb:

I'd want my rad to be in the other room though with the noise those make! Not a bad idea though

As long we talking about availability. Lead time for San Aces is eyes popping 94 days (minimum). Sanyo Denki USA has only 10 pcs of those fans in USA. If there is an interest, beyond Sadasius and myself, you better speak now :)

These fans are absolutely insane in every way! The $50 price tag is a little steep though... I think I would need to see some test results before I'm willing to pay the fourfold price premium over a set of Ultra-Kazes.

There's also the issue of finding a controller that can handle these badboys... 64 dB is awfully loud!

Ultra Kazes are utter junk!

They undervolt like garbage and develop and atrocious ticking noise.
