It's been a few days, but I finally got the SATA adapters I ordered so I could clean up the cable management and finish things up.
These were necessary since it was a bit of a stretch to get the SATA power connectors all the way to the hard drive cage.
Also ordered a L-shaped one so that I can put the DVD drive in the top bay, because everyone knows the optical drive MUST be in the top bay. I will absolutely positively not tolerate any other configuration.
Nice and snug.
Here's a look at the back before cleaning the cables up.
And here's a look at the back afterwards. I was really anal with cable management is as clean as possible. I really could have used more space on this side and a few more hooks to tie down those cables near the centre.
Finally, a view from the other side. PCI-E power cable wasn't long enough to run through the behind the case like I wanted, but I doubt I would be able to close the case if I ran another big fat cable back there so it'll have to do.
Despite my complaints, I'm still overall very satisfied with the Fortress 02.
The design is superb and this is the cleanest build I've done yet.
