Where are the good locational areas in the Halifax region to look for with respect with reasonably priced but good quality housing?

Also, looks like I'm going to be moving again, this time it has to do with a new job. I am fortunate they are offering a relocation assistance package (I have to do all the work, keep the receipts and they'll reimburse me up to a fixed amount. Seeing as I'll need to spend several days in hotels at least to you know find a place to live/rent I'm hoping to lower some of the moving costs).

Right now I live in Richmond Hill, however I will be moving to Halifax, Nova Scotia within the next few weeks for my new job.
I've usually used moving companies as when I lived in Fredericton they Pods or Cubeit were not available. I know my move from Fredericton to Whitby was about 2.2k, I was wondering if anyone has had any experience using Pods or Cubeit to move cross country, if so what were their pricing like.

I plan on calling both companies later this evening, though was hoping for people's experiences with using either services/companies vs the standard moving company. Also wondering what deals or rates people have been able to get for their cross-country moves.

Are you looking for apt or single dewelling? Pets, no pets? Long drive to work, no drive to work?

What area is the workplace in? Is it part of the shipbuilding contract and thus on the waterfront?

Wow, somebody moving into NS for a Job, usually it's people leaving to find one.

It depends on what your looking for and where you'll be working. Trips over the bridges are a PITA during rush hours.

I'm going to be working at Lockheed, which I assume is their Dartmouth location. Still waiting for the official offer package to arrive via e-mail, though I've been confirmed over the phone by their HR about the job offer.

Ah I see, so where would you say would be best area then for being relatively close to the city/Lockheed (don't mind up to 20 min commute via car, but would like to be fairly close for public transportation if my fiancée finds a jobs)?

It's a career move Enab, as they are located globally so there is a lot of room for moving around in the company.

No one has any moving suggestions or ideas or PODS/Cubeit experience?
