I am surprised it ran as well as it did on my system- near constant 60 fps using a mix of high and ultra settings, w. low AA- given the minimum/recommended specs. However, while it is fun, I am not sure it's really worth $80.

Anybody else try it? If so, what are people's thoughts?

It's pretty hectic, but damn does it look good!

I think it needs a lot of balancing to make the fights more fair though.

I was running it on my i7-860, GTX 660ti with 8GB Ram on High settings and it runs nice and smooth. I was surprised how well it ran. However gameplay though i have to say it gets dull after a few hours. Reminds me of BF4. I can't see myself playing with my friends for a long time.

I played for about 4 hours the other night and then got bored. It feels like a simple BF4 reskin with walkers.....

i have only had 20 minutes of time to play it so far but the graphics look great, the sound is spot on and the gameplay is kinda so-so. I still have to customize the controls to my liking. I will give it another shot tonight.

It's a bit too frantic for me. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and I'll admit I did place my pre-order the day that option became available; but, I'm not sure I'll be a regular player. There is just something missing I can't quite put my finger on it, at this stage if you were expecting the awesomeness of Star Wars Battlefront you will be heartbroken. Maybe I'm just an old man now but this game is wickedly fast paced, with players flying in all directions and pinpoint cross map snipers. If they could find away to slow the game down a bit, give the player a chance to enjoy the massive battles that are possible in the game, I'm not talking ARMA slow but something a little more manageable. These are of course just first impressions, maybe with more time and the completed game I'll feel differently.

This is a **** game. First of all I spent 1/2 an hour trying to even get into a game and them when I did get in a game the match making put me against 8 people while my team only had 3 people. Played several matches where one team was heavily outnumbered. There simply is no auto balancing what so ever. It completely ruined the experience. Not to mention the higher level weapons are clearly far superior. I don't even think this game is worth $20. No space battles or galactic conquest means no buy. I mean they could of had a cool galactic conquest online mode similar to Red Orchestra 2 (Still my favourite online fps).

The interface I feel is a lot worse and partly confusing. Why can't I scroll through various weapons, etc. I mean I have to push 1 for example to throw a grenade. That is pretty terrible.

I also think the Rebel starting gun is worse than the Empires.

There are so many things wrong with this game. If it didn't have the star wars label I bet most people wouldn't buy this because there are better titles out. This is too dumbed down and not enough content to ever be worthy of my money. The worst part is no dedicated servers. I can't stand it when sequels have less features. It is just a quick money grab and it will quickly die off.

You can get it for around 60$ if you buy it through GreenManGaming, you'll need to use the coupon code to get 23% off, pay in US dollars, and wait till release for your code.

I like it quite a bit, reminds me a lot of Bad Company 2. The amount of health you have and how long it takes to kill players is what I like the most, I'm sick of the near instant death in Battlefield and CoD games. I like how focused the walker assault map is, game feels more populated with 40 players than Battlefield ever did with 64 players.

Game looks and sounds fantastic, runs great on one GTX 970.

Wow belgolas, i didn't have anywhere near the issues that you had. The worst that i had teams unbalanced was 2 people down. The interface could use a bit of a polish but it wasn't that terrible. So long as we are able to change the keymapping there really shouldn't be any issue. Also it's still a beta and not the finished product. We already knew that there was going to be no space battle and no galactic conquest, no surprise there.

Other than that i had a great time and the beta ran very smooth on my system. Didn't have any issues getting into games and always had lots of people to play with. The game was defiantly frantic paced especially for the Hoth/Walker mission. I haven't pre-ordered the game yet and i am a little skeptic on the replayablility front. I will take a wait an see approach.
