Just curious the best way to stress the PSU using gaming or benchmarks. I've tried running Heaven and Furmark at the same time and can only get 400W out of my setup. Would like to see how stable my PSU really is.

you wont be able to max it, if it actually can provide 1kw on the 12v :)

load 1.5v on the cpu and shoot for max clocks, prime it and furmark too.

I'm not so sure that 1kW couldnt be maxed out these days. Just buy two GTX480 cards lightly OC them and torture it with FurMark and you're already at 800W , add to that CPU-mobo-memory-hdd-fans--- as usual stuff we need to have.

You might try using OCCT - the latest version can run Linpack and furmark simultaneously.

But really, PSU's aren't that hard to stress, just grab a dozen or so power resistors, wire them up in parallel and hook up the 12V line to them. The real job is accurately measuring how well they're managing the loads.

Wasn't there a test on OCCT that is PSU test? Or am I thinking of something else?
