The Happy thread!

YAY Ebay! Just found a nice suitable PSU for my sons PC for $40. Now I can take out the PC P&C PSU he has and put it into my PC. Now I just gotta live with the EEE 701sd PC (attached to a 19" LCD mercifully) for a few days. GladI gave up on trying to run Windows on it, Xubuntu runs very well on it.

I know people have confirmed this in the past, but here is confirmation again (I asked regarding a really hot R9 290 that I have). :D

Hi,

Thank you for contacting XFX Technical Support. If you are in the North America, damaging or removing the Void Warranty sticker doesnt void your warranty. You may remove the stock cooler and replace them with your own, as long as you return it to its original condition, without water or any physical damage, before sending it in for warranty claims. Any other region than North America cannot molest the stickers.

Yours,

Krell

Passed my CAF aptitude test for what positions I was applying for. Apparently I am an oddity having very high verbal but low spatial scores for an engineer. My guess is they get a lot more civil and mechanicals applying then electrical or electronics/computer engineers.

Thanks. Now I may be waiting up up to/including April for my interview/medical as there is only one Air Force slot open, and April is when the next round starts for the next class/slots.

At least the hard part's done!
