I'm just waiting for the 1060 announcement. I'm using a 7870 and although performance wise it does everything I need, I want a quieter and cooler card. Was looking at the 960 but at this point I'd rather wait.
Indeed, the last time anyone saw this kind of generational shift was when Fermi was initially launched to replace the respected GTX 7900 series.
What’s been accomplished here is a generational performance shift of a size not seen since Fermi launched and ushered in the DX10+ age.
Will my i5 2500K at 4.2 ghz be able to run the GTX 1080 with out bottlenecking it and wonder what performance hit I could expect?
SKYMTL, are you planning on giving us a heads up in this thread when the Fast Sync/HDR review page goes from "under construction" to "filled with detailed goodness" or should I just keep trolling the article? As I mentioned I'm really interested in the Fast Sync info.
