Leafs-Bruins on TSN tomorrow night so we can get a look at the new level of mediocrity.

Between the Leafs lack of forwards & the Oilers lack of defensemen you can barely make ONE NHL team, nevermind two.

The Leafs #1 scoring line is now Kulemin, Bozak, Kessel? Pretty sad to have 1 good forward on the whole team.

...and the Oilers TOP D pairing for tonight vs Chicago is Gilbert & Strudwick.

Trade you some D for some scoring. Why both teams traded away from their weakest areas is beyond me.

I was just thinking back to a post I made at the start of the season gloating about how strong the Oilers were on D:

Visnovsky (traded)
Souray (injured for season)
Smid (injured)
Staios (traded)
Grebeshkov (traded)
Gilbert
Strudwick

5 of the top 6 D gone!

Not trying to candy-coat their mediocrity but that's actually not that bad of a line IMO... too bad it's probably our only line.

I don't think there would be an uproar if Lafleur said the Leafs had 4 4th lines, lol
