In 39 games this season he led his team in goals with 15, 7 on the PP and a total of 34 points. Pretty decent numbers and hopefully he has some chemistry with Stalberg

Good deal for the Leafs. Term and $$$ is good. With his heart "problems" 2yrs is long enough. Too bad they did that trade for Raycroft, they'd have their #1 goalie in Tuukka Rask. Just another bad trade done by the Leafs. Many of those in the past 5 yrs. By Ferguson and Burke.

Yeah he signed for cheaper than I expected considering what Giguere is paid.

Aren't the Leafs going to be within about 4 million from the cap ? That won't leave Burke much room to "upgrade" his team. Unless of course he somehow unloads Finger and maybe either Big K or Beauchemin. He should try to move those guys before thinking of trading Kaberle.

Leafs have plenty of space, only $44.2 committed to next year. I think Burke is going to try and cherry pick some players from Chicago and Tampa before trading anyone. Those two teams will be way over the cap and will be trading or losing UFAs. Cap is what 56 million or something?
