discussion Weird keyboard 'issue' sorta

Hey folks,

I guess this isnt really an issue,
but maybe just a really nooby question.

Why is it that sometimes when I am typing,
my question marks turn in to these things: É

Seriously, its sooo annoying!

To fix it i have to repeatedly tap ctrl and shift together for leik 10 seconds.
Its quite strange.

Can someone please tell me why this happens?

It's called E accent aigue.

It's French.

You did a key stroke sequence, and switched your keyboard from a US English to a French one.

Bah, I need to learn to read. I wish I know why/how it happens as well. Happens way too often for me.

You can change it back in Control Panel for one thing... not exactly sure where though.

ctrl + shift! That's what I do to change it. I set my language stuff to american to try and avoid this....seems to happen a lot to me.

just make sure your keyboard is set to US english not canada english and this won't happen

yeah its set to english lol, yeah i know how to fix it but its still reeally annoying

remove the french layout from being available
go into regional and language options => goto languages tab => hit settings => remove anything but english(united states)
