what are the best apps for checking your game fps?

I've got a client that is running the Trackman 4K golf simulator and says it's having no problems while the specs of the system are well below the recommended and they swear all the settings are on max. it doesn't appear Trackman has a fps counter built into it so looking to find options that can be installed to see what its at.
 
There seems to be some debate about overlay quick keys in Adrenaline... I shall have to test at some point. Maybe Alt+Shift+F, maybe Ctrl+Shift+O ??

AMD FPS Counter annoyance

The AMD FPS counter can be toggled on or off using ALT + SHIFT + F. This seems to be a built-in feature and cannot be altered anywhere in the AMD Adrenaline settings. Is there a way to disable this hotkey? As I use these keys allot during games and accidentally turn the FPS counter on. This is...

Well, I dunno. I had Adrenaline open while playing Space Marine II and neither of those shortcuts did anything. Not sure if it's an option you have to turn on first somewhere?
 
off topic here
a few times while playing warframe I was smashing keys and adrenaline came up so I panic closed ( always happened when battling hehe) it then I dont remember wht it was, but I noticed that I had somehow record 6 GB s of game play in 4k lol and I still cant figure out how to turn that feature off
but there is a FPS display setting from AMD adrenalin that I turned on, it shows up in all my games in the upper right corner
