Whats your latest purchase?

Finally decided to go for an open headset upgrade, SugarJ made me do it! :haha: Thanks for the eBay find and the personal review! :thumb:

ATH-ADG1 High-Fidelity Gaming Headset | A-T Headphones || Audio-Technica US

Manufacturer refirb so I will post an actual pic when they arrive. Little risky but price was good and returns allowed.

UPDATE: I just got a message from the eBay seller saying they ran out of the demo/refirb units, but rather than having to issue a refund he is sending me a new one! :shok: A little sketchy but hopefully this deal just got even better!

170 from 2.5L.. ouchy.. The 2.0L golf R has 300bhp and the 1.4 blumotion has 125.. curious about torq and efficiency of that unit..

It was rated at 177 lb-ft of torque. This was the last year of the 2.5 liter, it was replaced in the 2014 model year by a 1.8 liter turbo with the same horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

Rated highway efficiency was 6.5 l/100km and city was 9.1 l/100km. Ours has the 6 speed automatic. Like I said, fuel efficiency was not our main reason for buying the car or I would have found a TDI, but it's nice that it will cut back on the gas bill compared to the SUV.

Full face is the way to go. When I see guys riding with a skid lid I can't help but think of
A) The amount of bugs and crap getting in your face (and some then wear goggles and a bandana, just put on a propper fekkin helmet already).
B) The chance of it not getting torn off if you get into a serious slide/drag wipe out, there's a lot of exposed strap on them.
C) Like Mark said the whole keeping your face in one piece.

My daily driver is a Bell RS-1. I switch between the mirror or transitions shield depending on how late I'll be out. I don't really like riding at night with a Tinted visor.

Shoei has a Transitions one too (or they did). I highly recommend them. I love mine, way handier than carrying an extra shield. I'm just too cheap to buy a Shoei helmet haha.

And while we're on motorcycle topics, for anyone who's watched a lot of Revzilla reviews, their guy Anthony has a particular .... 'style' that other revzilla employess poke fun at in this 'review'. I got a few laughs out of it.

Nice Indian.

Not my style, but very nice. I used to ride an '06 Harley Fatboy. Now I mainly ride a '13 Road Glide ... sometimes when my back isn't killing me, my '47 EL "Knucklehead".

Here she is ...

I had some custom paint put on the tour pack for my wife ...

As far as my daily helmet, here it is (minus the GoPro's of course) ... I just use those for when I'm recording rides.

Here is some stuff I record, mostly for the "Honor Flight Network". Our group meets WWII and Korean War vets at the airport, thanks them for their service, give them a motorcycle escort down to the monuments in Washington DC and basically help them experience something many have never experienced before:

What's the ballpark figure for a transitions face shield? I'd never even considered that they'd make such a thing, but can certainly imagine that it's a useful feature.
