Will I notice a difference if I get this sound card,

Instead of my onboard and graphics card hdmi sound ports on these speakers?

What would you think? Would my overall movie/tv experience be better with or without the card.

Doubt it, unless you plan on making a significant speaker upgrade down the road or you're using quality headphones.

That card does NOT support 5.1 Analog. It is Stereo analog. If you ever decide to go with 5.1 Desk Top speakers,which are Analog,you are a bit screwed.

That's what I'll be using however...

Yes, you will notice a difference. However, it's not completely worth the investment unless you're using a quality pair of cans or some higher-end stereo speakers.

I got the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro (5.1 support) and I noticed a big difference. I would have gotten an Auzentech Forte if they were available, as I prefer Auzen over Creative.

I have decent speakers though (Logitech Z-5300). Not crazy good, but good enough for me.
