Rants etc.....

Then the same company requires 16 digit passwords that need to be changed every 90 days. Next time I have to change my password, I am going to change it to something ridiculous like all repeating letters, numbers. Then keep them saved in plain text on phone.
Haha, 16 characters and 90 days eh? Wonder what the history is set to...

It's always amazing when "security" is forced upon people without any thought given to usability. Then people just find ways to make it usable that typically result in lower overall security.

I wonder how often their IT is doing password reset requests.

Like the old "replace the last numeric digit with the next number in line" method? Nothing says "negate attempts to frequently replace possibly compromised passwords" any better than that.... :)

Am I missing something???

Why do #8 screws require an SQ2 bit? Does the #8 refer to the head design as opposed to the bit size?

And what the he double hockey sticks is SQ (I know it stands for square)? After all these years after Ford refused to license the Robertson screw head (an obviously superior head when compared to the standard phillips) do the yanks still refuse to call it a Robertson?

Somebody  used standard zinc coated screws on the new skirting of their deck. :(

Somebody (after the fact) realised the error of their ways and has ordered some proper ones, but it's going to be a bit of a pain in the arse removing the 4/board currently installed silver screws and replacing them with some proper deck screws which won't corrode.

#8 is the screw size. (diameter of the screw)

The square bit - Robertson (Canadian patent) comes in sizes - 00 - 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 (sometimes you'll see colour coded screwdrivers)

For a #8 it would probably be a #2 Robertson

Yeah, that link has pretty much all the info a person would want. :)

I just found it weird that every driver bit (for construction) I came across while shopping referred to robertson bits as "SQ" 1 or 2 with absolutely no reference to Robertson at all.
